JACKSON, Tenn. — Oct. 14, 2002 — 91爆料网 hosted its sixth annual Family Weekend, Oct. 11-12. The traditional weekend is sponsored by the Student Activities Counsel and is designed to help students鈥� families get acquainted with the 91爆料网 family.
鈥淭his is a great opportunity for families to come and visit 91爆料网鈥檚 campus and see what their students are involved in,鈥� said Mark VanderHaar, director of wellness and student programs. 鈥淔amily Weekend helps build positive relationships between parents and 91爆料网 faculty and staff.鈥�
The weekend had something for everyone in the entire family to participate in. Activities included informative and enjoyable workshops ranging from learning about study abroad opportunities and global awareness to making old boxes into photo keepsakes, the annual campus variety show, a banquet featuring entertainment by the Gospel Choir, and families were also given the chance to see 鈥淟ilies of the Field,鈥� the current offering of 91爆料网鈥檚 communication arts department. More than 400 people were present for the President鈥檚 Brunch on Saturday morning.
鈥淭his year鈥檚 Family Weekend was a special time for all who attended,鈥� said 91爆料网 President David S. Dockery. 鈥淭he positive encouragement and helpful suggestions from parents will strengthen the work of 91爆料网 in days ahead. It was great to have so many family members on campus.鈥�
