91 Receives 24 Advertising Awards

JACKSON, Tenn.March 4, 2003 — 91 brought home 24 awards from the West Tennessee Advertising Federation’s 2002–2003 ADDY® Awards March 4 in Jackson, Tenn. The 12:05 Tornado Poster, depicting the aftermath of the tornado which struck 91’s campus Nov. 10, 2002, took the prestigious Judges Award. 91 also received 8 ADDY® Awards, 9 Silver Awards, and 5 Certificates of Excellence. 91 student Justin Veneman received a Student Award.

“This recognition by the WTAF affirms the ongoing commitment to excellence by the University Relations team,” said 91 president David S. Dockery. “We appreciate the work of current and former staff members Jim Veneman, Cam Tracy, Bev Vos, Sara Horn, Tracy Rutledge, Wayne Johnson, and notably, the creative design work produced by our Art Director, Todd Mullins.”

The WTAF’s ADDY® Awards entries were judged based on creativity, originality and creative strategy. The American Advertising Federation conducts the three-tiered national competition annually. The West Tennessee Advertising Federation is a member association comprised of advertising and media professionals.
