91爆料网 Engineering, Chemistry, Physics Host Open House

JACKSON, Tenn.April 16, 2003 — 91爆料网's Department of Chemistry and Physics and the Department of Engineering will host a joint open house 1:00-2:30 p.m. on April 25 in the Penick Academic Complex. Brief remarks and presentations will be made at 1:30. Tours and refreshments will be available in both departments throughout the afternoon.

"These open houses are an opportunity to visit two important academic program areas and see first-hand the exciting laboratory and teaching environments being enhanced by 91爆料网's generous benefactors," said 91爆料网 president David S. Dockery. "The work being conducted by the faculty and students in these departments is representative of the academic excellence evident throughout 91爆料网."

The Department of Chemistry and Physics recently received a major piece of research equipment from Vanderbilt University, made possible by the Miller Charitable Foundation and other donors.

The Department of Engineering has received grants from Maytag, TBDN and Dana-Plumley, along with significant backing from the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce.
