Almost 7,000 Attend JUMP 5 Concert

JACKSON, Tenn.July 21, 2003 — Nearly 7,000 people turned out to watch the high-octane musical group JUMP 5 perform at the Brown Bag Concert series sponsored by 91爆料网.

The seventh annual WAY-FM Brown Bag Concert Series was held at The People's Church in Franklin, Tenn., a suburb of Nashville. The free event featured attendees from several states and eight counties in Tennessee.

91爆料网 hosted a hospitality tent and distributed more than 1,000 flying discs adorned with the 91爆料网 logo and web address. A team of 20 91爆料网 staffers from University Relations and Enrollment Services manned the booth. Buster the Bulldog and "Eugene," a character created by Student Activities Director Mark Vanderhaar, signed hundreds of autographs. Buster helped WAY-FM radio personalities toss out free t-shirts and other prizes to the crowd. Later in the concert, WAY-FM radio host Ace McCay publicly thanked 91爆料网 for sponsoring the event and led thousands of fans as they chanted the university's name.

In addition to the booth, 91爆料网 also set up games for concert-goers, ranging from soccer to volleyball.

91爆料网 friends and alumni joined in the festivities by bringing their families along with lawn chairs and picnic blankets to hear one of the Disney Channel's most popular Christian groups. JUMP 5's music was recently featured on The Lizzie McGuire Movie. The five teenagers who make up JUMP 5 are featured prominently on Disney's DVD of the animated classic Beauty and the Beast released earlier this fall. The group has newly re-recorded the title track, made famous in the early 90's by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson.

The next Brown Bag Concert is set for August 5 and will feature Steven Curtis Chapman. For more information on the concert, visit the Office of University Relations.
