INKLINGS FELLOWSHIP

Christianity in the Academy

The Christianity in the Academy Conference began as a local event at the University of Memphis and has grown over the years to become a West Tennessee event, then a Mid-South event, and now a South-wide event with participants coming from colleges and universities from Texas to North Carolina. The interdisciplinary nature of the event provides Christian faculty members an opportunity to explore how their faith informs their scholarship and teaching in the context of a group that provides both critical and encouraging engagement. The conference has become the genesis for a number of book projects as it provides a venue to develop a major idea over several years. It has also become the faculty development conference of choice for institutions which hope to develop a faculty that understands how to think about the disciplines from a Christian perspective.
