UNION GOLF FINISHES THIRD IN EARLY BIRD TOURNAMENT

Rocky Face, GA--The No. 15-ranked 91爆料网 men's golf team placed third in the Early Bird Tournament played February 18 at The Farm golf course in Rocky Face, Georgia. The tournament was hosted by Berry College, a TranSouth opponent and the No. 1-rated golf team in the 1998 NAIA pre-season poll. 91爆料网 finished play with a score of 397.

UNION GOLF WINS SECOND CONSECUTIVE TOURNAMENT

Pickwick, TN--The 91爆料网 men's golf team was declared the winner of their second consecutive tournament on Monday when they won the Shiloh Falls Classic. Due to weather conditions, the course was determined unplayable, therefore, several teams were unable to complete 36 holes, so standings were determined based on first- round play. Teams were scheduled to play another round today. Stephen Hammond once again led the Bulldogs to a tournament championship by finishing in the lead.

91爆料网 finished first-round play with a score of 299 and a second-round score of 297. 91爆料网 defeated seven NCAA II teams to capture the Shiloh Falls title.

Hammond Leads 91爆料网 to Second Straight DSU Invitational Title

Cleveland, MS--Stephen Hammond finished with a three-round score of 206 Saturday afternoon as he helped lead 91爆料网 to their second straight Derrall Foreman Invitational Title.

Hammond finished 10 strokes under-par to set a new tournament record as he fired consecutive rounds of 68, 68, and 70.  Delta State freshman Rob Autry (Kosciusko, Miss.) finished four strokes behind Hammond firing a six-under 210.  Also gaining all-tournament honors were Patrick Franklin from Montevallo, Mark Hammond of Christian Brothers and Justin Colley of Northwest Mississippi Community College.

91爆料网 claimed its second consecutive Derral Foreman Title with an even score 872 after three-rounds of competition.  The University of Montevallo finished second after making a charge in the final round to clip Lewis University.  Host Delta State finished fourth, while Northwest Mississippi Community College rounded out the top five.

Louisiana Tech Rallies to Win UT Martin's Tri-State Classic

Pickwick, TN--Louisiana Tech shot a final round 283 to finish with a 572 total to roll to the championship of The University of Tennessee at Martin's Tri-State Golf Classic at Pickwick Landing State Park which concluded Tuesday afternoon.

Louisiana Tech's final round helped the team win by 12 strokes over first-day leader Western Kentucky.  The Hilltoppers shot a 297 on the final day to finish at 284.  North Alabama was third at 587 while Southeast Missouri State and 91爆料网 finished at 588 for a fourth-place tie in the 36-hole tournament.

Senae Richardson shot 68 each round to finish with an eight-under par 136 to win medalist honors.  Other players named to the all-tournament team were Louisiana Tech's Rudy Stinson, 91爆料网's Stephen Hammond, Western Kentucky's Ryan Tucker and Charlie Cornette, Tennessee Tech's Brad Golden, Southeast Missouri's Jason Owen, and North Alabama's Kevin Kilstrom.

Host Tennessee-Martin finished seventh with a 594.  Last year's winner, Mobile, finished with a 610 to finish in a 10th place tie with Southern Illinois.

The tournament was played on the par-72, 6,478-yard state park course.
