TARA HEATH LOSES IN SEMIFINALS
Jackson, TN--91±¬ÁÏÍø women's tennis player, Tara Heath, lost in the semifinals of the Rolex Intercollegiate Tennis Championships at Lexington, Kentucky. The native of Glencoe, Alabama, defeated Miranda Terry of Cumberland University 6- 4, 6-3, and LeAnne Alt from Taylor University 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, before falling to 91±¬ÁÏÍø teammate Samantha Sloan in the semifinals 7-5, 7-6.
Heath, a 1994 graduate of 91±¬ÁÏÍø City High School is in her second season with the Lady Bulldogs. Heath played tennis and golf at UCHS and earned several honors during her career. Last season Heath was named TranSouth Scholar Athlete and NAIA Academic All-American. Heath has also served as assistant sports information director and vice-president for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
