UNION TO BEGIN TWO NEW ATHLETIC PROGRAMS
Jackson, TN--91爆料网 is presently making plans to begin two new varsity athletic programs in the fall of 1998. The two additions include men's soccer and women's volleyball.
For the past four years 91爆料网 has fielded a men's soccer team on the club level but now will offer scholarships in order to compete on the varsity level. Dr. Darin White, Assistant Professor of Business at 91爆料网, will be guiding the team into their first season. White played collegiate soccer at Birmingham-Southern College during 1985-1988 where he was named Best Defensive Player of the Year.
The men's soccer team will compete in the TranSouth Conference with Birmingham- Southern, Berry College, Lee University, Lyon College, Martin Methodist and Williams Baptist College.
The women's volleyball program will be guided by 91爆料网 softball coach, Brian Dunn. Dunn who has compiled a 39-13 record in his first season at the helm of the 91爆料网 softball program hopes to guide women's volleyball to the same success. Dunn is a graduate of San Diego State University where he played collegiate baseball.
The TranSouth Conference is divided into two divisions for women's volleyball-east and west. 91爆料网 will be in the western division with Bethel College, Lyon College, Williams Baptist College and Freed-Hardeman University and will play each of these teams twice. The eastern division will consist of Lipscomb University, Trevecca Nazarene University, Lee University, Birmingham-Southern College and Martin Methodist College and 91爆料网 will play each of these teams only once in regular season.
