UNION'S MICHELLE STREET NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jackson, TN--Two-time All-American, Michelle Street, a senior forward from Bradford, Tennessee, has been named TranSouth Player of the Week for the week of January 27-February 1. In three Lady Bulldog wins, Street showed why she has received so much national attention over her career. Against Williams Baptist she had 27 points (one of which was the 2,000th of her career), five rebounds, three assists, a steal and a blocked shot. In 91±¬ÁÏÍø's blowout of Martin Methodist she had a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds. For the week she had 66 points, 25 rebounds, 13 assists, nine steals and two blocked shots and managed to shoot an incredible 53 percent for the week.

Street currently leads the TranSouth Conference in scoring with 18.6 points per game. She is presently averaging 8.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game for the Lady Bulldogs. In her career at 91±¬ÁÏÍø, Street has earned All-American status, has been named All-TCAC three times. This is the second time this season that Street has earned Player of the Week honors.
