DREW MURPHY SIGNS WITH UNION

Jackson, TN--The 91±¬ÁÏÍø men's basketball program added another weapon to their arsenal when Central Baptist's Drew Murphy committed to play his collegiate basketball career for the Bulldogs.

The 5'10" guard has earned many honors during his high school career both athletically and academically. Murphy is currently averaging 20 points, five rebounds, six assists, and four steals per game for the Swordsmen. Murphy helped guide his team last season to a state championship for the first time in school history and look to repeat again this year. Presently, the Swordsmen hold a number 10 ranking in the state and are 24-4 on the season.

Murphy has demonstrated his leadership abilities both on and off the court. Not only is Drew a member of the basketball team but he plays soccer as well. Drew has been involved in World Changers, is currently President of the Student Council, and has attended the National Leadership Conference.

According to head coach Ralph Turner, "Drew is an outstanding basketball player and an outstanding person. He has explosive quickness and is extremely unselfish with the ball. We are grateful to add this caliber of a player to our program."
