UNION BULLDOG MARCUS PRICE NAMED ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jackson, TN--Marcus Price, a junior guard for 91±¬ÁÏÍø, was named NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) Student Athlete of the Week for February 15-22, 1998. Price, a transfer from Southern Mississippi, helped guide the Bulldogs into a 3-0 record and the lead of the TranSouth Conference this week.
Price, a native of Laurel, Mississippi, scored 60 points and pulled down 14 rebounds. On the week he shot 16-25 (.640) from the field, 10-16 (.625) from three-point, and 18-19 (.947) from the free-throw line. Price also added 10 assists, one block, and two steals.
In only seven games with the Bulldogs, Price is averaging 16.7 points and 4.1 assists per game. He is shooting .657 (23-35) from the three-point arc and is presently averaging .630 in total field goals.
