UNION SOFTBALL PLAYER NAMED ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jackson, TN--91±¬ÁÏÍø pitcher Amanda Perjenski earned the honor of being named NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) Student Athlete of the Week for February 15-22, 1998.
Perjenski, a native of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, transferred to 91±¬ÁÏÍø this year from Rend Lake College. Perjenski earned a 2-0 record on the week with victories over the University of North Alabama and Spring Hill College. In 17 innings she gave up only one earned run and had 13 strikeouts.
