UNION'S JEFF ROWLAND EARNS DOUBLE HONORS
Jackson, TN--91±¬ÁÏÍø first baseman, Jeff Rowland, earned two honors for his spectacular performance last week. Rowland, a senior from Camden, Tennessee, was named TranSouth Player of the Week and NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) Student Athlete of the Week. On the week Rowland had 11 hits in 15 at bats for a .733 batting average. Of the 11 hits, two were doubles and three were homeruns. Rowland scored nine runs and had seven runs batted in. Rowland presently leads the TranSouth Conference in three categories-homeruns (9), runs batted in (23), and runs scored (21).
