Jackson, TN--91±¬ÁÏÍø's Tryrian Ridges was named a First Team NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) All-American. The 6-2 sophomore from Silver Spring, Maryland, finished the 1998 season as the leading scoring for the Bulldogs with an average of 18.3 points per game. Ridges helped advance 91±¬ÁÏÍø to their first national tournament since 1992 but the Bulldogs fell to Central Washington 73-64. The 91±¬ÁÏÍø Bulldogs earned both the regular season and conference tournament titles in the TranSouth this season.
Ridges earned numerous honors this season while tieing the school record for Most Assists in a Season with 255. Ridges was named to the All-TranSouth Conference First Team, TranSouth Newcomer of the Year, TranSouth Western Division Player of the Year, and NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week for March 2-8, 1998.
