UNION BASKETBALL SIGNS WILLIAM GRAY

Jackson, TN--Henry County High School standout William Gray signed with 91±¬ÁÏÍø University last week. The 6-6 guard has started for the Patriots since his sophomore season. For the 1997-98 season Gray averaged 14 points and five rebounds per game and led Henry County to a 21-6 overall record while maintaining a 3.30 grade point average.

Gray has earned All-District honors for two consecutive seasons as well as All-Region for the past two years. Gray earned honorable mention All-State honors in 1998 also.

According to head coach Ralph Turner, "We believe that William is going to be a very good basketball player here at 91±¬ÁÏÍø because of his size and athletic ability. He is very well-rounded and is a great fit for our team and our university. We are very excited that he has chosen 91±¬ÁÏÍø.

Gray joins Nashville's Jake Eaton for the 1998-99 season with the Bulldogs.
