UNION'S JOHN KOFFMAN EARNS CONFERENCE HONOR
Jackson, TN--91±¬ÁÏÍø shortstop John Koffman was named TranSouth Conference Player of the Week for April 13-19, 1998. Koffman, a junior from Dyersburg, Tennessee, led 91±¬ÁÏÍø in hitting this past week with a .533 (8-for-15) batting average. On the week Koffman added four doubles, one homerun, and eight RBI's.
The 1997 Academic All-American ranks fourth in the conference in doubles with 16 so far on the 1998 season. In the stolen base category, Koffman is second on the Bulldog roster with 20 and ranks eighth in the TranSouth Conference.
