UNION TENNIS SIGNS JAY HORNE
Jackson, TN--The 91±¬ÁÏÍø men's tennis program signed a recruit last week for the 1999 season. Jay Horne, a native of Collierville, Tennessee, will be joining the Bulldog program next year. Horne will be transferring from TranSouth opponent Lipscomb University where he compiled an 8-4 record in his freshman season. Horne is a graduate of Collierville High School and was a former Top Five Junior Player in the state of Tennessee.
According to Bulldog head coach Gary Johnson, "Jay is a quality player that will add much needed depth for our team. The addition of Jay will help us reach the level of competition we need to be at to compete against top ten teams."
91±¬ÁÏÍø is presently competing in the 1998 NAIA Men's Tennis National Championships this week in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
