STEPHEN HAMMOND NAMED ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN
Jackson, TN--91±¬ÁÏÍø's Stephen Hammond was named to the 1997 NAIA Men's Golf Academic All-American team at the national tournament banquet on Monday night. The University School of Jackson graduate has the second highest grade point average of all 17 players who received this honor. Hamond currently has a 3.92 GPA in Pre-Medicine. Last season Hammond was named to the all-tournament team at two events and earned all-conference honors.
The Bulldogs are currently participating in the 46th Annual NAIA Men's Golf National Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 91±¬ÁÏÍø received an at-large berth last week due to their No. 11 national ranking in the last polls.
