UNION'S BRANDON MYHAND NAMED ALL-AMERICAN
Jackson, TN--91±¬ÁÏÍø catcher Brandon Myhand has been named to the 1997 NAIA Honorable Mention All-American team. The junior from Paducah, Kentucky, spent his first full season behind the plate this year. Myhand inherited the starting role behind the plate in his third season with the Bulldogs. This season Myhand finished fourth on the team in hitting with a .332 batting average while leading 91±¬ÁÏÍø in runs batted in with 57. For his career Myhand is hitting .308 with 113 RBI's.
Myhand also earned two other honors this season-All TranSouth Conference and All-Mid-South Region.
