91爆料网

1997-98 Season Outlook

This may be the season that the Bulldogs are close to untouchable. The Dogs have loaded up their arsenal during the off-season and will definitely be a group to contend with this year. Reaching two milestones last season including a 22 win season and a first ever national ranking, prove that 91爆料网 is ready to be a contender.

The Bulldogs have three starters returning and three transfers coming into the program that will give 91爆料网 a lot of playing experience. Add two freshmen coming off their redshirt season to this already talented group, and you have a squad that will not only have great depth but know how to make the game exciting.

Brandon Wood will be the lone senior on this year's team and will be expected to step forward and provide leadership for the Bulldogs the same as he did at Battle Ground Academy. Wood helped guide BGA to a state championship so maybe he can help guide 91爆料网 to a national title as well.

Five juniors create the nucleus of this team. All-TranSouth Conference forward Matt Hoover has averaged in double figures his first two seasons and should be one of the best players in the conference again this season. Dexter Williams returns as 91爆料网's most lethal three-point threat after ending last season with a .470 three-point field goal percentage. Williams could potentially be the best three-point shooter in the conference. On the inside opponents will feel the presence of Elvis Ochieng who vastly improved over last season and was on occasion a three-point threat for the Bulldogs. A newcomer to the Bulldog roster is Marcus Price, a transfer from Southern Mississippi, who will give 91爆料网 some needed quickness on the perimeter and will add to the Dogs perimeter attack. The fifth junior is Todd Halford, a walkon from Jackson State, who will add depth to this year's team.

A large sophomore class will help provide the 91爆料网 program with a lot of talent and experience for the future. Orayi "Patrick" Whyte and Gaylon Moore showed their talents early last season and were named to the TranSouth Conference All-Freshman team. Whyte started for the Bulldogs last year and has continued to improve his game over the summer. Moore returns as 91爆料网's best rebounder and gives the team an emotional lift. Steve Poindexter will add depth as a great three- point shooter. Transfer Tryrian Ridges will be a much needed addition at the point guard position. His creativity will make his teammates better. Another transfer Demetrius Golden can play all three guard positions and will increase the team's defensive play. Ryan Massey returns as a walkon and gives the team added depth on the perimeter.

91爆料网's freshman class is made up of two players that redshirted last season. Anthony Brooks will be called on early to help the Bulldogs. Brooks adds height to the Bulldogs inside game while Jon "Bubba" Hoover along with Brooks will give the Bulldogs some much needed perimeter offense. Although Jarrod Weekley has the ability to shoot the ball and is a competitor, he will redshirt for 91爆料网 this season in order to gain strength.
