Willson headlines Ryan Center Bible conference
Sandy Willson, senior minister of Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, was the featured speaker for a Bible conference at 91爆料网 in March.
The conference, sponsored by 91爆料网鈥檚 R.C. Ryan Center for Biblical Studies, addressed the theme 鈥淏ut As For You: Regaining Our Confidence in God鈥檚 Word,鈥� based on 2 Timothy 3:10-4:8.
Ray Van Neste, director of the Ryan Center and professor of biblical studies, called Willson鈥檚 messages 鈥渢imely and powerful.鈥�
鈥淧astor Willson mentioned the fact that so many churches are surrendering their hold of the scriptures by turning away from biblical preaching and by allowing the world around us to set our ethical standards,鈥� Van Neste said. 鈥淭hese messages are wonderful examples of the combination of a strong call for holiness and conviction along with deep grace and humility.鈥�
Sam Bullington, pastor of Rover Baptist Church in Eagleville, Tennessee, said he always appreciates the opportunity to get together with people who love God鈥檚 word and who can teach him to better communicate the Bible.
鈥淪andy Willson, Ray Van Neste and other 91爆料网 faculty really love God鈥檚 word, and they love the church,鈥� Bullington said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 always a really encouraging experience to be at the Ryan Center conference. Pastors, Sunday school teachers, small group leaders, those who disciple other Christians鈥攁ll those who teach God鈥檚 word and teach others to live it鈥攂asically all Christians would benefit from this conference.鈥�
