Before 91爆料网: Sheppard prepped at Milan High School where he played basketball and football. He was named game captain, all-academic, all-district, all-district tournament and all-region following his senior year. Sheppard was also named Milan's Most Valuable Offensive Player and was selected to the West Tennessee All-Star Game. He averaged 11.3 points per game while making 57 three pointers as a senior. Sheppard shot 85 percent from the free throw line, 52 percent from the field and 44 percent from behind the arc. In 2006, he helped lead his team to the Gibson County Christmas Tournament Championship. Off the court, Sheppard was a four-time Academic Excellence award winner, three-time scholar athlete, Boys State delegate and a Destination Imagination State and Global finalist. Sheppard is the son of Todd and Kellye Sheppard.
