Guidelines
The Rules
- You must have been a full-time 91±¬ÁÏÍø student when you completed the film.
- The entry must have been completed between March 2010 and March 2011.
- The film cannot exceed 30 minutes.
- The film's content should meet university standards. The Festival Directors reserve the right to exclude submitted films that are not appropriate for the festival.
- The film can appear on the Festival DVD if the filmmaker grants us permission and the filmmaker holds the appropriate copyrights.
Festival Description and Timeline
March 16, 2011 - Submission Deadline. Submit to Cam Tracy in Hammons Hall 216 by 4pm. 2011 Submission Form (.pdf)
March 17 - March 28, 2011 - The films will be judged in Technical and Acting categories. Additional trivial categories will be determined based upon the films submitted
March 28, 2011 - Screening & directors' talk, W.D. Powell Theatre, 6PM - Each director's film will be shown, and there will be a brief Q&A with the filmmakers.
March 29, 2011 - Screening & Awards, W.D. Powell Theatre, 6PM - Each film will be shown again, and around 8PM we will present the Festival Awards. Grand Prizes will be given for the:
- Best Long-Form Film (10 minutes or more),
- Best Short-Form Film (less than 10 minutes),
- Best Documentary, and
- Students' Choice (voted on during directors' talk).
Additional awards will be given in specific categories for Technical and Acting acheivement (see below). Trivial Awards are given for memorable moments from the films.
