2015 Student Film Festival

Guidelines

The Rules

  1. You must have been a full-time 91±¬ÁÏÍø student when you completed the film.
  2. The entry must have been completed between March 2014 and March 2015.
  3. The film cannot exceed 30 minutes.
  4. The film's content should meet university standards. The Festival Directors reserve the right to exclude submitted films that are not appropriate for the festival.
  5. The film can appear on the Festival DVD if the filmmaker grants us permission and the filmmaker holds the appropriate copyrights.

Festival Description and Timeline

March 11, 2015 - Submission Deadline. Submit completed film (drop by with external hard drive or share a folder with ctracy@uu.edu on Dropbox) and Submission Form to Cam Tracy in Hammons Hall 216 by 4 p.m. 2015 Submission Form (.pdf)

March 11–23, 2015 - The films will be judged in Technical and Acting categories. Additional trivial categories will be determined based upon the films submitted

March 23, 2015 - Screening & directors' talk, W.D. Powell Theatre, 6 p.m. - Each director's film will be shown, and there will be a brief Q&A with the filmmakers.

March 24, 2015 - Screening & Awards, Barefoots Joe, 7 p.m. - Each film will be shown again, and around 8:30 p.m. we will present the Festival Awards. Grand Prizes will be given for the:

Additional awards will be given in specific categories for Technical and Acting acheivement (see below). Trivial Awards are given for memorable moments from the films.
