Bio
is Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He is Director of the UAB Peds ID Fellowship Program and leads a research laboratory focused on antiviral screening and drug development. Dr. James serves nationally through leadership roles on the Council of Pediatric Subspecialties and with the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society. He and his wife, Jaime, have four children and live in Birmingham, AL, where he serves as one of the pastors of The Church at Brook Hills. Dr. James is also an author of children's books and family devotionals, including , , , and his newest children's book, .
