Before 91±¬ÁÏÍø: Alexander prepped at North Side (Tenn.) High School where he played baseball, basketball and one season of spring football. As a four-year starter for the baseball team, Alexander played second base, third base, shortstop and pitched. He was named a TBCA Super Sophomore, Jackson Sun All-District, all-tournament, All-West Tennessee and TSWA All-State as a sophomore. Following his junior year, he earned all-district, all-tournament, all-region and was the winning pitcher in the district semifinals and finals. As a senior, he helped North Side to a second straight district title, while hitting .500 with four home runs, 34 RBI, four triples and 44 runs. Alexander also tossed 63 innings as a senior, striking out 90 batters and posting a 2.52 ERA. He was named tournament MVP, all-district, team MVP and Most Outstanding Player in the West Tennessee All-Star Classic. He added TBCA all-region, first team Jackson Sun All-West Tennessee and Tennessee BAseball Report All-State Two-way player selections. Alexander's career totals include a .451 batting average, 110 RIB, 183 hits, 12 home runs, 156 runs and 49 doubles. Alexander played summer ball in 2011 for the Tennessee Thunder who finished 33-8 while posting a runner-up finish in the under-18 national tournament. Off the field, Alexander was in the Honors Program and was a member of the Academic Decathlon Team that earned medalist at the state competition.
